I made this Salty Dog with rosemary the other day, it was fitting for a Friday post as we headed into a bright and sunny weekend in California. There are a few small variations here to make this simple drink a bit more interesting.
- 2 oz vodka
- 4-5 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 2 sprigs Rosemary
- Pink Himalayan salt for rim and color coordination
- Dashes of Fee Brothers grapefruit bitters
- Grapefruit peels
Prepare the glass rim with a mix of salt and grapefruit peel. Muddle one sprig of rosemary with vodka then strain and pour into the glass. Add grapefruit bitters. Top with grapefruit juice. Garnish with fruit wedge and rosemary sprig.
The grapefruit zest, rosemary and bitters make this simple drink a bit more sophisticated.
